Hello, everyone, my name is Ty, and I'd like you to welcome you to my new blog Artifice and Alchemy I hope that this blog will be a haven for those that love reading and writing. I've been a freelance writer and editor for five years now and an avid reader since childhood. It never ceases to amaze me how much I learn about myself as a writer and my own writing style from reading every genre of book I can get my hands on. Because of this, I wanted to start a blog that not only gives book reviews and recommendations but also provides insight and inspiration for fellow writers. I always read between 10 to 20 books a month so there will always be plenty of new content for you guys to check out. And if there's any particular book you'd like me to cover or any specific writing subject you want me to address, please feel free to let me know in the comments.

Have you ever read a book or book series that was so amazing that you just couldn't bring yourself to read anything after you finished it? Or even worse have you ever read a book that was so terrible that it completely destroyed your reading motivation? Then you have experienced what I like to refer to as a book hangover. And while some reading hangovers only last a couple of days some can bring on week-long if not month-long reading slums. And for those of us with ever-growing TBRs, this is unacceptable.
